am i the only one confused at the fact that hive closed down it's java server when it was doing decent to fully focus on bedrock and yet mineplex's java server is still fully open? all mp is as a server anymore is a bunch of old timers chillin' in lobby one and chatting like no one is playing the games anymore. wouldn't it be cheaper or smth to just put more focus into the bedrock server? maybe fix bedrock spawning in a new server from giving me a seizure everytime? idk just feels like a waste of resources and time but I know nothing will ever happen as is the way of mineplex forums

 

You see, the owners dont care. So it seems as mineplex as a whole will just collapse soon.

 

In several occasions, Mineplex has proven they don't bother on the client.

Money > Quality

First, when they had cakewars MEGA, our Bedrock dev made us pay for a VIP+ rank which costs about a Duke rank that only lets you do colorful chat in CH and pointless lobby flight just to play cakewars mega.

Then, Java lost their top dev because of not getting paid and issues.

Also, Mineplex has really bad customer service.

Edit: when I say Money > Quality, I don't mean I support it. I'm explaining to you what is the vision of this doomed server

 

I don't think gyro is the one that decided to limit cw mega to vip+ only, but maybe I'm wrong

Edit: also I dont really play bedrock but I thought vip or vip+ gave the benefits of duke as well

 

I think it's because there are a lot of people who forgot about their immortal subscription on java so it still rakes in a lot of money and if they shut it down they have to cancel those.

 

You can thank owners and lt for vip+ cwm and for deathrun to also be vip+ even tho it won’t come out. :(

It is true that many servers have shifted their focus to the Bedrock platform, but I believe that there is still a significant player base on the Java server.
