Trainee Blacklist Reset & Changes

As of January 31st 2023, the Trainee Blacklist has (mostly with a couple of exceptions) been reset! What this means is that anyone previously on the Trainee Blacklist prior to this date has been removed (unless you are messaged otherwise by me today, which will be over the forums if you have a forum account).

The reason for this change is that while taking over as Recruitment Admin and talking to the Recruitment team, we all felt that the Blacklist was as a whole way too strict. Holding most things against someone that they might've done back in 2020, or in some cases even 2015, like the previous Blacklist system did was way too harsh. I don't know about you people but I have personally changed and grown a lot as a person in the last 2 years, let alone the last 7 or 8. It's only fair in my opinion that (mostly) everyone gets a second chance because of that.

For the sake of transparency, which I believe is pretty important personally, I'll provide some details about our new Trainee Blacklist system that we'll be using going forward.

➔ Firstly, it will be harder to actually get Blacklisted. Under the old system a lot of Blacklists occurred for reasons that in my opinion were not severe enough to result in one.

➔ Our new Blacklist system has two severities, a 6 month Blacklist (which I expect will be the most common type of Blacklist), and a Permanent Blacklist (which will only be reserved for the people that we absolutely do not want on the staff team, which will be harder to land yourself on)

➔ If you do find yourself on the Permanent Blacklist, you will now be able to appeal this decision. To do this if you are on the Permanent Blacklist, message any Recruiter and they will provide you with a group of questions that you will have to answer and send to me.

➔ You will be informed by me/future Recruiting Manager(s) if you find yourself on the Blacklist via a forum message. This message will include the timeframe of your Blacklist, along with the reason why you have been Blacklisted. If at any point you forget this information and would like a refresher, feel free to send a message to any Recruiter on the forums and they will be able to provide it to you.

I am currently working on updating https://www.mineplex.com/bat2 which should come out sometime within the next couple of weeks, hopefully. Past that, we will eventually be looking at the applicant requirements and processes as a team and making any changes we deem necessary.
