Odds of Gyro stunning us all: Mineplex reviving.

 

I’m just saying it all went downhill after we left :p

 

From a former moderator's perspective, we have to take off our rose-gold glasses for a second....

Mineplex will be remembered in some way shape or form by everyone. I've made a ton of important memories throughout my stay at Mineplex that will be cherished forever. I've learned quite a lot from just one server then you'd expect. But while we learn and cherish these memories we also have to expect the end for something. Closing an era off is hard because you don't want to let go correct? All those memories bring a smile to your face wishing you could go back... Sometimes it's just best to let something go more than to hold on to it. If anything, holding on to something can hurt you significantly more. That was one of the toughest challenges I had to face when resigning... to let go. Do I miss moderating? yes. Do I miss the friends I've created through Mineplex? yes. But at some point, we have to learn to move on and continue our journey onto other important moments of our lives. Point is... Mineplex's days (Java-wise) are limited. With all the ddosing and games having little to no one in queue... we have to get ready to say goodbye, unfortunately. That's just how life is. People come, people go, new friends silver, old friends gold.

TL;DR -> Letting go is sometimes the best choice...

We can say it's a miracle things were sort of held together for so many years. I think we all wish for either something be actively done on the server, no matter how belated, or simply have it shut down

 

maybe we can provoke Elon Musk into buying it on twitter

this is a very nice post actually, and it was nice to read something by someone who was thinking the same things as me. in saying that, i do have an issue with letting things go hence why i've been here for such a long time through thick and thin hahaha i need some form of closure i guess

but yes it was such a nice response i felt like i had to tell you how good and true it was

Been a hell of a ride since I first accessed the server in 2013. Only just logged back on the website after 2+ years, hurts to see what’s happened to my favorite server of all time huh. Nostalgia hits hard
