Hypixel's last Skywars update was in July 27th, 2020 Mineplex's (bedrock) last Skywars update was Aug 11, 2020
Hypixel is so many times bigger than Mineplex, has also a dozen if not more devs and other developmental figures and tools that allow them to release updates much quicker across their whole server, and a lot more money. They also do not have a Bedrock server they have to split their resources to. Mineplex has only one developer for Bedrock, and little additional people to help with releasing an update as often as Hypixel. There are also more issues with the server that said developer isn't responsible for fixing. Things such as worse infrastructure which is why it is getting worked on right now. We get very little updates, but it is understandable to a degree. We definitely need more developers, though. Also, if you were to go on the forums of Hypixel, you would see quite a lot of people complaining about Hypixel's problems and lack of updates for their games. You can't satisfy everybody and big servers still have their issues. Bottom line though is that it's really unfair to compare Minecraft's biggest multiplayer server with what is now, presently, a very small server. It would make a lot more sense to compare Mineplex to a server that has an active playerbase similar in size. edit: bruh i misread i thought the hypixel update was most recent >.> people like to compare the two anyway for other stuff
Hypixel has the budget, the backing, and the manpower Mineplex does not. Most of their modern success comes from Bedwars and especially Skyblock anyway, which is likely why some of the other bygone games fall to the wayside.
You should be comparing hive and mineplex. Hive released on bedrock more than 2 years after Mineplex did on bedrock, yet it still has way more players and updates. Yeah, they did close down the java server after a year or two of releasing on bedrock, but Mineplex was here first! It was here before cubecraft and hive, yet it's way worse than those two servers. Says a lot, doesn't it? Mineplex is getting mocked and embarrassed by these other servers, and rightly so
You can't compare Hypixel to Mineplex for several different reasons, but you shouldn't even be comparing anything in this scenario. All you need to do is view the activity of updates and development announcements on Mineplex alone to see that this statement is completely false.
Hive bad(well mineplex bad too) lol the other servers lobby’s are jaw dropping, amazing 3D animations and stuff, something never thought would be a thing without using s bunch of mods it’s ADDONS but you don’t gotta download and make sure it’s up to date, just log on the server
Never said we don’t have active devs. We said we don’t have a lot of dev because we don’t have active owners. Are dev are amazing. We just need more. Mineplex owners gave up on this server. Mineplex potential is there.

We are not doing better than the biggest server it that the server is so big that they don’t focus on skywars because it already good. They have way more devs and a lot more money Mineplex are not doing better
UHHHHHHHHHH you don't know anything about skywars on hypixel... but lets go with that, tho yeah they do have more money and devs
The frequency of updates isn't everything. Once you've made something solid it's more about maintenance.
