Ok seriously Guardian is freakin’ broken

  1. I barely skimmed over the replies, but I am assuming you are saying that all abilities deal knockback to water splash. Apologies if thats not what you are saying. Theres a clear difference between how water splash reacts to projectiles (most of them) and how abilities like bone rush and flame dash react to them. With flame dash and bone rush however, you can notice that they take kb even though they are constantly moving. Water splash doesn't behave like that at all. Instead, it ignores all kb as if the projectile wasnt there.

Of course, I haven't done any extensive testing with the kit, but if you need to replay the footage in slow motion to even notice anything, is it really a significant change to where water splash isnt as good as people say it is? Even if water splash took kb from all projectiles, its clearly not intentional and it definately doesn't make a noticeable effect when playing the game.

  2. I've used bone rush on guardian mid water splash and they have definitely taken knockback before. 1 Projectile just simply isn't enough to stop it from dashing forward.

  3. Bone rush has fixed kb

  4. Also guardian only does a lot of damage when it combos, a way to avoid this is to bait out target laser then run away to cancel the laser. Making you take significantly less damage.

    Crash and GAM like this.
  5. If Guardian was even close to as good, easy to use, and as people make it out to be, everyone in pubs would be using it

If Guardian was completely immune to any kb, Zombie, Enderman, SHorse, etc. would have significantly worse matchups against it

Short of Moppletop, you are talking to the most knowledgeable person on what was 'intended' for Guardian.

Current state, if you are playing Skeleton against Guardian:
-If you predict Water Splash you can Barrage/Bone Explosion the Guardian player away
-If you see the first cast, you can DJ/Triple and trade a positional advantage for one of Guardian's long cd moves
-If you see second cast and react in time, you could Roped Arrow straight up, trading a short cooldown and positional advantage for one of Guardians long cd moves
-If you see Guardian using Water Splash towards you, dont consider how Guardian is different from other kits, and then mindlessly try Barrage and/or Bone Explosion, you trade some damage and one of Guardian's long CD moves, but let the Guardian on top of you, where you will probably get chunked or lose a stock for your insolence

There's still plenty of counterplay to Guardian, if you are actually willing to think about the game you are playing. That doesn't sound OP to me, especially when compared to the other current OP kits
