    The following guidelines reference 'Data Points'. If you would like to learn more about these, please click here.

    If you are replicating a CSGO map you just need to make sure it’s made to scale. Make sure it’s a bomb based map and not a hostage based map.

    If you are making an original minestrike map you will need to reference the gameplay notes for this gamemode. IF YOU ARE NOT HEAVILY FAMILIAR WITH CS:GO AND MINESTRIKE DO NOT ATTEMPT AN ORIGINAL MAP. It can be frustrating having to fix mistakes and you will likely make a ton.

    Be sure to apply the texture pack before building, this will give you an exact idea of how the map will look when placed with the game-mode.

    Gameplay Notes

    • Have a map layout in mind already. Starting a map with no idea in mind of how it will end up is way too risky and could end up on loss of time.
    • Bombsites need to be away from each other. Counter Terrorists need to be able to reach them before the terrorists.
    • From the Terrorist side there needs to be 2 entrances to each bomb site. Having more can make the map really Terrorist sided.
    • Make sure to have cover on both sides. This can be by having files of boxes or barrels.
    • Avoid long lines of sight that can make the AWP overpowered. Try to break lines of sight as much as possible. If you are going to have long lines of sight make sure it leaves the player using these lines of sight really exposed.
    • For sure avoid big lines of sight to bomb sites. This make them really easy to protect from far away.
    • Try to incorporate cover around the bomb sites.
    • Make sure you include paintings to help indicate where bomb sites are on the map. If the map is an original no one will know the layout right away.
    • REALLY avoid over detailing minestrike maps. Walls should have very little depth. Having a ton of depths means people can possibly get “into” walls.
    • Try to follow a 3 line style map. This means the main paths are left side, right side, and middle. You can have little corridors connected each of the lanes.
    • Map should be extremely easy to run through without even jumping.
    • Avoid using Barrier Blocks as they can block smokes, grenades, ect.

    Data Points

    Player Spawns

    Player Spawns are created by placing either a Dark Blue or Red wool block topped with a Gold pressure plate. You will need 12 RED SPAWNS (Terrorist) and 12 BLUE SPAWNS (Counter Terrorists)


    Bomb Sites:

    Bomb Sites are essential for the Minestrike game-mode. Create a bomb site by placing a Red wool, with an Iron Pressure Plate on top. 2 RED DATA points for bomb locations. You will need a RED X (made out of redstone blocks) underneath the data points.
