  1. Speaking of owners, it is somewhat understandable, although I wouldn't say excusable, for them to be distant figures when what they are managing is big - what makes the present situation so miserable is that the playerbase is basically the size of a local server I played on in 2013 and everything is still very much the same.

Mineplex could sustain itself after falling from peaks of 40,000 to 10,000. Then 5000, 1000, heck even 200. When it's absolutely empty, though, I don't think there's any profit in hosting it anymore, so maybe I'm wrong, but this end is near and if the owners are still distant even to the upper staff of the server, then I think we're getting a silent shutdown rather than anything else. If the upper staff is informed in advance, which would make sense, then I'd expect some events being organized instead.

  2. What we should really look at is what drove the Owners away? Like how do you go from 1 owner being inactive to all of them and their reasonings behind going inactive and not carrying. Why'd they never promote anyone else if they didn't want to do the work? Isn't that how a company works when you want to move on to another business but still want to own but can't focus on it you put someone else in charge...

  3. The owners have much bigger investments that they care more about, Mineplex isn't their only project. So naturally from a business standpoint you're gonna want to put more effort into the thing that's raking in more of the cash. Mineplex obviously doesn't bring them much income anymore so they stopped really caring for it, but hey, money is still money, and they'll keep it running as long as people are still paying for Immortal. Which, by the way, everyone should cancel their Immortal so this server can finally lay to rest.

  4. Honestly sad that we've stopped seeing the 'how to save Mineplex' threads and now we're seeing threads like this. Everyone's just given up

  5. I say we just turn it into an unmaintained anarchy server where everyone can do anything.

  7. If running it didn’t cost money they’d probably just leave it to rot far after it’s lost all its players. I doubt they’d ever do anything, and even if they did it’d be pretty shallow considering that their stepping in earlier could’ve saved it.

  8. Yeah, there is a lot of inner conflict from what I've heard too.
I wish the server would stay alive for longer. I think that we currently have an issue of Minecraft becoming less and less popular, at least I think so. It could be another factor that affects the player count.
