Mineplex Java's end: A proper send off.

I think that on the last day of the java server there should be like a farewell party or something. Maybe a firework show, a giveaway (giving away stuff for the bedrock server) a speech from the owners (on the server) or perhaps we could destroy the lobby. IDK but my favourite idea is the giveaway combined with a firework show. Just to thank the Mineplexers for their loyalty over the years and to celebrate the server that once was. If you are an admin please reply to this thread or PM me because I would like to know what you think. Even if you're not a mod please reply with your thoughts.

Well knowing how absolutely unresponsive and useless the owners are, they'll probably just shut the server down once they feel they're not making a good enough profit anymore.

They do not know how to run a server properly and it is obvious they do not care. I guess I'm one to talk since I've never ran a server before, but I have never in my twenty years of living seen management this bad in anything. I hate seeing a place I once loved and cherished go to waste because of incompetent management. I just want the shutdown to happen already

 

That would be pointless because if you get all these items and gadgets and a rank etc you will not be able to use them because the server will be closed.

 

There 100% will be nothing from the owners but it would be fun to mess around together with the admins.

 

I think we should give away 10 IMMORTAL Ranks :) we might not even know the day because Owner's might not tell us which sucks it could happen any second

Others above have said it well. As for giving away stuff on bedrock, they wouldn't do that either anyway. The bedrock server is doing just as bad as the java server is if not worse lol, have you seen the update log for 2022 for bedrock? We got the definition of nothing, and lost over half of our players

I honestly wish we could have something like that. I first joined the server in 2013, and I joined the staff team shortly after. I remember Mineplex when it was at its peak, I think I was a Sr.Mod then on forums. Seeing the server in the state it's in is just depressing at this point. I'll login every few months now just for the nostalgia, but I think it's time to put the Java server out of its misery. I would say it's the end of an era, but that era already ended a long time ago...

With that being said, I do think we as a community should recognize and appreciate the volunteer staff and admins who are trying their best to keep the server going, despite not having the resources to do so. The server is running purely on loyalty and love at this point, which is a testament to the server's glory days, where relationships and memories were formed.
