Master Builders needs kits! So please tell me your HONEST opinion on these: Artist - 3000 gems - "Have a color pallete for each game!" As soon as the theme is given, the player must place a block of any color they want. Then, that block will be deleted, and the player's hotbar will be filled with 7 blocks with similar tones and colors. Example: if you want white blocks, place white wool, and you will get iron block, quartz, white terracotta, snow, among others. Recycler - 6000 gems - "Recycle your old builds!" You will be allowed to use a new "/recycle" command, that lets you save your current build into the cloud! You can save a max of 3 builds. Commands: /recycle save <name of build> - for saving the current build in-game /recycle delete <name of saved build> - deleting a saved build /recycle list - shows the names of your stored builds /recycle load <build> - for replacing the current build in-game with the chosen one Using "/recycle load" prohibits the player from building for 1 minute and 10 seconds, and can only be used once per game. Fatal Triggerer - 5000 gems - "Cause damages in someone's build!" You are given one Enchanted Blaze Powder at the start of the game. You can only "use" during the last 10 seconds of the match. Using it will cause it disappear. Not using it will cause you to have one less slot in your hotbar, as it cannot be moved or dropped. When used, it will cause an explosion in the middle of the player's plot at the ground who has placed the most blocks yet. Explosion of 10 block radius! In case of two players with most blocks: both feel the explosion. So please tell me your HONEST opinion on these. Don't keep it, I wanna know!
Master Builders has always been a competition of individual creativity and design skills. Your build is judged anonymously by your foes based on those things. Adding kits that would make it less of a level playing field would ruin the spirit of the game, no matter what they do.
You asked for an honest opinion and my honest opinion is that this is one of the worst suggestions I’ve ever heard for a mp game. I mean come on man, Kits? To a building game????? It ruins the whole point of a building game where you need building skills not being able to copy an old build or to be able to ruin someone else’s. Do you know how op the blowing up someone else’s build is? You could use it in the last 10 seconds and ruin a big chunk of someone’s build and they have 0 time to fix it. I have a good feeling I’m gonna get warned for this under rudeness but again I have to say you asked/are ok with it.
While kits always add fun elements to certain games, I feel like there are certain games that shouldn't have kits, including Master Builders. The ability to just copy and paste builds or destroy other's builds would ruin the point of the game imo.
I agree with Em on this one. Kits are certainly a fun element in different games, but I think I only see them in most of the PvP games, like; Halloween Havoc, Cake Wars, SSM, Champions, etc. Master builders is meant to increase your build skills and not only to have fun but also to have a fair vote on your build. Because of that, some games, including MB, should be filtered out as per the usage of kits.
Hi! First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to come up with this idea suggestion and for of course, making this thread. Seems as if others have brought a lot to the table regarding your idea suggestion and I wanted to share my two cents on the idea suggestion. I unfortunately lean more towards what @Emiliee and @Splendida have to say regarding kits being added to Master Builders. Master Builders in its authentic nature, is a mini-game that should inspire creativity based on a building topic that is assigned to players. Adding kits, in my personal opinion, would interfere with people being as creative as they can and it would change the way the game is played completely. I think the game is fine without kits and if anything, additional building props could be added in favor of inspiring more player creativity. (I.e. Player Skulls, etc.) Thank you again for suggesting this, but I unfortunately am not in favor of this idea and I'm interested in what others may have to share in regards to your suggestion.
Speed Builders is kinda the same way. It's everyone trying to see who can do the exact same thing the best, with no one having any sort of advantage beyond sheer skill difference.
I have a WAAAAYYYYY better idea for a kit: Disappear-er! Once per game, lets you completely reset the build of a foe whenever you want to!
I think I'm of the same line of thinking of what's mostly been said here already. I think adding kits to this game just really isn't needed.
Master Builders doesn't need kits, it's not that kind of game. It's a relaxing building game and the kits you're suggesting would only work somewhat well as tools everyone has access to rather than a kit (except your last idea; we shouldn't be destroying others' builds)--the palette picker idea sounds pretty cool, not overly useful but some people might enjoy it, and the saving builds to the cloud idea is interesting too; while copy pasting a build goes completely against the game I would be down for some sort of feature where you could see all your winning builds/favourite builds that you've saved in an MPS or some sort. Would probably take up way too much data though and you can, after all, just take screenshots.
This is an amazing concept however I agree with maevestarbaby, I believe Master Builders just isn't the right game to add kits too, it's one of those games that is good how it is. I do think this is good though!
Master builders, speed builders, draw my thing etc. are all games where kits aren't needed. I'm sure it would add a different aspect to each game tho. And most people would gravitate towards the best kit anyway, creating an unnecessary skill gap.
Destroying your opponent's builds reminds me of something-why did they remove the "report inappropriate build" option? Was it not needed anymore for some reason?
