Fun Game Idea: Museum Treasures

  1. You and a team of 6 thieves have planned to steal valuable treasures from a small museum at midnight. You all have chosen this target because of the lack of security guarding the artifacts inside. Your team has spotted no cameras and no guards that patrol at night, but there is a hidden alarm that cannot be disabled. You will have to move quick, but your team believes that they can pull this off easily. However, you will soon find out why this museum doesn't need much security...

    The game is 3vs7, where 7 people are chosen as The Thieves, and the other 3 people are chosen to be The Entities. The Thieves goal is to successfully steal all 10 relics scattered throughout the museum (indicated by a floating item on on top of an obsidian block, surrounded by glass) before all The Thieves are killed. The Entities goal is to kill all The Thieves before they can steal all the artifacts. There would be a 15 min timer, as The Thieves tripped the hidden alarm, and now police are on the way. If the Thieves are unable to steal all the relics before the timer runs out, they lose.

    Each Thief can hold only one relic at a time, so they would need to bring the relic to their starting position, which would be the entrance to the museum. If a Thief is killed while they have a relic, The relic will automatically be dropped where they died, and all other Thieves will be notified that a Thief died, as well as the relic that they dropped. Each Thief will spawn with a wooden sword, leather chestplate and leather boots (hidden), 10 pork chops, and whatever items or attributes they get from their chosen kit.
    When 5 relics have been successfully stolen, The Thieves will receive an upgrade, which grants them a stone sword, refills their food, and gives them an iron helmet (hidden).
    (This helps to defer The Entities from puppy guarding one relic, because the Thieves will only get stronger if they wait.) It is up to you whether you want to gang up with other Thieves to increase your chances of survival, or go off by yourself to get relics quicker, but risk being alone with one or more of the Entities.

    Kits for Thieves (What kind of Thief are you?) :

    Sneaky (Free):
    "Grab relics mostly undetected"
    - Granted 1 min of Invisibility at the start of the game.
    - The Entities will only know the player's position for 5 seconds when they grab a relic.

    Speedy (Free): "Leave enemies in the dust"
    - Spawn with 3 feathers, which can be used for a quick boost of speed. If used, player movement increases by 20% for 3 seconds. Cooldown of 20 seconds.

    Mighty (Free): "You came for riches, but it's a fight you want"
    - Deal 0.5 more hearts of damage.
    - Gain Protection l on leather chestplate.

    Greedy (3000 gems): "Everything's better in twos"
    - Player can hold 2 relics at a time.
    - Any time a relic is successfully stolen, no matter which player steals it, gain Speed l for 3 seconds. Cannot stack.

    Patchy (3000 gems): "Patch up all your thieving friends"
    - Every 20 seconds, receive 1 Splash Potion of Regeneration l (Max of 1).

    Uneasy (5000 gems): "Recklessness never was your forte"
    - Everytime a Thief is killed, player will see all The Entities positions for 5 seconds.
    - Everytime a relic is grabbed, see that Thief's position for 5 seconds.
    - Spawn with 2 Eggs. If one is thrown and hits one of The Entities, that Entity will gain Blindness for 10 seconds.

    The Entities consist of three unique beings that defend the Museum's treasures from The Thieves. These beings are known as The Mannequin, The Painting, and The Sculptor. Each Entity has their own unique attributes and ways of attacking The Thieves. Each Entity will spawn at a certain spot on the other side of the museum, away from The Thieves. The Mannequin will spawn in the back left, The Painting will spawn in the back center, and The Sculptor will spawn in the back right. The Entities will be notified when a relic is grabbed, and will be shown that Thief's position for 10 seconds by a highlight of the Thief's body. If a Thief with the Sneaky kit grabs a relic, The Entities will still be notified of it, but will only see their position for 5 seconds. The Entities will always see each other's positions, and The Thieves cannot see the NameTags of The Entities. Work together with the other Entities to trap and kill Thieves and defend relics. If the timer runs out, and not all the relic's have been stolen, you win! If you kill all The Thieves, you win!

    Note: The Mannequin and The Sculptor can be killed, which means they will spawn back to their original position after a time of 15 seconds. The Painting cannot be killed.

    Kits for Entities:

    The Mannequin:
    "A still statue, hiding among others, just waiting to strike"
    - Spawns with an stone sword (Enchanted with Knockback ll), a snowball (Freeze ability), and a full leather set of armor (hidden).
    - The Mannequin has the ability to hide among fake Mannequins around the museum, surprising Thieves by jumping out of their frozen stance and attacking. To activate this ability, use the snowball, which will freeze the player in a random pose until they try to move, causing them to come out of the frozen stance. This ability has a cooldown of 10 seconds.
    - If the player is killed, all the other mannequins are scrambled and randomized into new positions and poses, and the player gains Speed l for 20 seconds upon respawn.

    The Painting: "Be cautious around paintings, for one of them may be watching you, plotting your death"
    - Spawns with a bow, 5 arrows, 1 slowness arrow, a slime ball (Teleport ability), and redstone powder (Paint Spill Ability)
    - One of The Painting's special abilities is the Teleport ability. Since The Painting cannot physically walk around the museum, it can only move using paintings scattered around the museum. Using the slimeball allows the player to teleport to a nearby painting.
    - The other special ability of The Painting is the Paint Spill ability, which allows the player to lay a trap for The Thieves, which is a redstone line across a hallway. If a Thief touches the redstone line, it alerts all of The Entities, and shows The Thief's location for 5 seconds.
    - The Painting can use their bow to damage and slow The Thieves down to make them easier targets for the other Entities. Gain 1 arrow every 7 seconds (Max of 5), and gain 1 slowness arrow every 20 seconds (Max of 1).

    The Sculptor: "It's lethal creations may surround you, be ready to run"
    - Spawns with 1 zombie and skeleton mob egg. Also spawns with a wooden sword and Brown Clay Block (Barricade Ability).
    - The Sculptor's special ability is the Barricade ability. Upon using the Brown Clay Block, the player creates a 5 wide and 3 tall wall of Brown Clay. This wall will block The Thieves, as well as The Entities. This wall will last for 45 seconds. Cooldown of 20 seconds.
    - The Sculptor can shape creations that can attack you. (Basically using mob eggs). Both mob eggs have a cooldown of 20 seconds (Max of 2).
    - All spawned mobs will follow The Sculptor. The Sculptor can only have 6 mobs spawned at one time.
    - If The Sculptor is killed, they spawn back with Speed l for 20 seconds.

  4. I think that this would take a lot of effort to get exactly right, but if it was executed correctly, this could be a hit original game similar to Castle Siege. +1

  6. Is this for Bedrock or Java?
    Either way, this actually sounds really cool and I think it’d be a pretty great addition!!

  7. Based on the thread creator's profile, I just realized that this is probably for Bedrock. Nonetheless, it would still be a great implementation for either version to provide a fun gamemode for the community.
