Hi! My name is David. I am a 16 year old junior in high school, because I skipped my sophomore year. I have 3 cats and 1 dog, but am particularly fond of one of my cats, Kylie. In my free time I love hiking/jogging. I live on the pacific coast, so I often go to the beach. I love it there. I am an avid movie watcher. This includes Netflix TV shows. Some of my favorites include Stranger Things, The Avengers, and The Office.

There was a point in my life where I was heavily depressed, and didn't want to get out of bed. I skipped weeks of school, and I was in my bed for about 23 hours a day. It was tough getting out of there. I had a therapist who didn't really care, and my parents and siblings were always preoccupied with work. The only thing I had left was my little kitten, Kylie. Just know, that you've been dead matter and rocks floating around the universe for billions of years. You have been given this opportunity to live, and it's literally a once in a lifetime opportunity. All the odds were against you, and you had a <.0001% chance of being born, and now you're here! You need to make the best of your life. If you're here and still reading this, and have had a horrible day, then I want you to go grab a pen and paper. Write down one good thing that happened today. It could be a smile that someone gave you, or a good view out your window. I PROMISE you, there is at least one good thing you can remember if you think hard enough. This is what you need to grab onto. Grab onto it and treasure it, because there are good moments that happen every day. There are many people who guilt themselves, and tell themselves that "someone else has it worse, so I shouldn't be feeling this way.", and this is a horrible way to think about things. Because if you think of life this way, then technically nothing should give you happiness or sadness. You're just in this odd spot in the middle. No matter how bad you feel, someone will feel worse, and no matter how happy you feel, someone is out there living better. Don't compare yourself to others, you'll never feel happy this way.
