I have been away from Mineplex for a while and came back recently to find the Java server unplayable due to the lack of players. I want to play games, but there are simply not enough people queued for any of them for them to start (besides clans/nano games). It's quite frustrating.

Is there any solution for this?

Here's probably the main reason why all Java servers but Hypixel started declining fast:

• Microsoft buys Mojang, releases Bedrock Minecraft. Intentionally incompatible with Java on Multiplayer.
• Tempt current Java server owners with sweet "partnered/featured server" deals and a massive young kids playerbase

If you aren't active in Java anymore, but once were, what made you quit and what would it take to bring you back?

Java is nowhere near as popular as it once was. However, I still don't want to believe that it is dead.

I care about Java edition. I care about the community. I also care about mineplex.

Its my childhood server. I'm an adult now, but I still like to enjoy time with friends on mineplex now...

As of typing this the Mineplex Java Server is currently down but because of it's ( MOTD ) Message of the day formatting I think a BIG CHANGE IS COMING.

The formatting has it's swords as usual but the "Mineplex Games" writing is in Blue and White this usually means it is back to its main lobby! NEXT AND MOST IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE. usually the player count will go one above the current player count EXAMPLE: 1/2 136/137 6/7...

What if a massive nostalgia event took place? Maybe promoting the message of bringing memories and celebrating the friendships created on the server too could be an important significance of bringing some numbers back. Some suggestions:
* Bring old lobby maps weekly?

* Veteran players who come back gain log-in rewards, could be based on level, or any factor.

* Schedule calendar weekend events, for example, hype bridges...

I'm sure there are numerous threads outlining the obvious, Mineplex's evident and drastic decline into the abyss.
So is this the end? Games no longer fill up at all, 3/4 of lobbies are stagnant players simply AFK. Java is quite literally unplayable, because there is no one to play with...

It's truly unfortunate Mineplex's Java is in significant trouble, perhaps with no possible return of even slight revival.
