  2. I love this Firestar. Thank you for putting so much effort into this and this will definitely help people who are applying for staff to have a better idea of the application standards.

  4. I just have a quick question - has the one month forum requirement been reinstated? The post still says that it has not been yet, but I'd like to confirm this fact before I consider applying.

  5. Technically no, so feel free to apply whenever you'd like! I'd still recommend getting used to the forums for a bit longer, however. Good luck on your application! :D

  7. This thread was last edited on February 22nd and I see that it still says it was temporarily retired; however, I would honestly ask one of the recruiters to make sure. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

  8. As of right now it has not. There are plans in the upcoming weeks to reinstate it, however.

  9. If you had a punishment in the past, let's say three months ago, does that hurt your chances of your application being accepted?

  10. Refer to the following information provided by this thread:

"As a reminder, you cannot apply until after one month for a severity 1 punishment, three months for a severity 2 punishment and five months for a severity 3 punishment. These punishment timers begin on the date the punishment was applied, not the date the punishment itself ends."

Having punishments does not necessarily have to hurt your chances, as long as you can demonstrate how you have learned from your mistakes :). That being said, if you have a long, consistent record of inappropriate behaviour, you will have to do a lot more work to get yourself into a good place.

  18. I've been waiting 3 months since my severity 2 punishment, and I've felt like I've become a much better person. I've been working on my application for all 3 of those months, and I'm applying tomorrow, which is exactly 90 days from my previous severity 2 punishment.

Good luck to you on becoming a Trainee! I think you would make a great staff member!

I joined StaffRequest yesterday and I've been contributing to it as much as I can (sometimes it can be hard to find hackers when you look for them). I've heard from many that by participating in StaffRequest is good for your resume.

  19. The thing is, what you did was much less catastrophic than what I did. In the real world, the comparison between our wrong-doings would be a robbery (you) and a murder (me). I am still kind of in doubt that they will just see that as a facade as one again, in the real world, a murder is unforgivable. Good luck to you on your application!

  20. You can't really compare punishments you get on a minecraft server to real life crimes. Especially when saying that a ban would be the equivalent to murdering someone. Sure you can say what you did was more severe depending on the severity but I doubt what you did was that 'catastrophic', it just isn't an accurate representation of the situation.
